*Side Note: When my students raise their hands, they either give a sign for "I have a comment", "I have a question", or "I have an answer". My coworker was so confused when she came in my room and saw everyone making signs with their hands in the air! It was hilarious! :)

That is funny- I love that this is going well- I am taking a baby signing class and thought of you today- it is funny they are teaching us tons of signs but the only ones I really need to know are the important ones like no, done, more, things that will help our communication easier- I think that this is important to think about- what signs really are getting you to where you want to be?
ReplyDeleteActually, all 6 of the signs that I have taught my students are being used frequently on a daily basis. I am really surprised at how efficient my students are at using them! It really makes a huge difference in our classroom! I love using the the "I have a comment, question, or answer" signs. They really help keep the class discussion moving in the right direction. How are the baby signing classes going? I'm curious about this... my cousin taught her baby sign language and he ended up not speaking until much later. I have always wondered if this was because he had no reason to speak because he had other ways of communicating or whether he was a late bloomer. What are you seeing with your baby?
