My First Post

Hello all! My name is Stephanie Stout (Ammerman still with NKU). I teach second grade at Yealey Elementary in Boone County. I love my job! For me, second graders are the perfect age! They are excited to learn, yet they haven't quite developed the attitude that makes our job so difficult at times.
I'm happily married to my husband, Kyle, of two and half years. We spend a lot of time traveling to see our families (they live about 90 minutes away in opposite directions!). I LOVE to read and try to read as many books as I can in-between semesters.
I'm excited to begin this semester and look forward to meeting everyone!

  1. Glad to have you with us- I really love the photo that you added- you both look really happy. Have you read anything good lately? I just read the next book in the Hunger Games series (young adult) which I love and am reading the Girl with the Dragon Tatoo but is is hard to find time especially now that the semester has started. But I am about to read a couple pages before falling asleep. See you online.

  2. My daughters attended Yealey, until we moved to Walton. Olivia (age 10) loved Mrs. Delaney and Caitlin (13) favorite was Mrs. Salmen (I think she is at Shirley Mann now). Yealey is a wonderful school.

  3. Dr. Clark-I just finished The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf and it was great! Like you said...when the semester begins, it's hard to find time. I pretty much stick to textbooks and articles! I'll have to check into the Hunger Games series.
Chandra-Mrs. Delaney is a wonderful teacher! I've never met Mrs. Salmen though. I've heard her name and I'm thinking she taught second grade at Yealey. Is that correct? Do you enjoy living in Walton? I have some family that live there and a couple of friends...
